Ejerció la docencia en la Facultad de Ciencias Contables y Administrativas de la Universidad Católica de Asunción.
- Presidente Honorario de la Fundación Marco Aguayo – Programa de Lucha contra el SIDA.
- Socio y Miembro Titular de la Fundación Cuña Aty – Entidad no gubernamental Defensora de los Derechos de la Mujer.
- Socio Fundador y Benefactor de la Sociedad Jardín Botánico y Zoológico.
- Benefactor de la Asociación “Fe y Alegría” – Entidad dedicada a la educación de los carenciados.
- Benefactor de la Cruz Roja Paraguaya.
- Protector VITALICIO a partir del año 2005 del Museo Casa de la Independencia.
COLECCIÓN ARTÍSTICA
Posee una de las mayores colecciones de arte del Paraguay entre las que citaremos:
- Esculturas religiosas del Siglo XVII y XVIII de origen Franciscano y Jesuítico, la colección más rica del país.
- Cerámica Paraguaya.
- Pintura de artistas paraguayos y extranjeros desde el Siglo XVII hasta la actualidad.
- Tapices y Alfombras.
- Platería Religiosa del Siglo XVI al XIX.
- Platería Criolla del Siglo XVIII y XIX.
- Estatuas de diferentes materiales.
- Objetos arqueológicos de Pompeya, Herculano del 2º y 4º Estilo.
- Piezas egipcias policromadas de la Dinastía XIX – Época Ramésida.
- Piezas arqueológicas egipcias de principios del período Seita y Tebano Tardío.
- Huacos de las más antiguas culturas pre-incaicas.
- Objetos de la Magna Grecia y Cultura Sumeria.
- Porcelanas orientales.
- Miniaturas de los Siglos XIII al XIX.
- Colección de Mapas y Grabados antiguos.

Parte de la colección de las tallas misioneras fueron expuestas en París, Madrid y Asunción
La Colección completa es visitada en Paraguay por personalidades paraguayas y extranjeras.
Su preocupación por la conservación del patrimonio histórico del Paraguay se ha manifestado en varias ocasiones:
- Yaguarón, Departamento de Paraguarí. En 1990, apoyó económicamente la restauración de la Iglesia de Yaguarón, el templo barroco franciscano más importante del Paraguay, construido en la década del año 1750.
- Capiatá, Departamento Central. En 1997 apoyó igualmente la restauración de la Iglesia La Candelaria de Capiatá, que es uno de los templos más espléndidos de la época colonial construido en el Siglo XVI por los franciscanos con la ayuda de los
indios guaraníes y que en el año 1992 el gobierno nacional reconoció dicho templo como Patrimonio Artístico-Cultural de la Nación.
- Caapucú, Departamento de Paraguarí. En el año 2001 gracias a su aporte económico se pudo construir la ruta de acceso para llegar al Museo Casa-Oratorio Cabañas, Patrimonio Histórico del Paraguay y que ha sido revitalizado luego de muchos años de
abandono. El mismo está ubicado en medio del campo de la localidad de Caapucú, a 154 Km. de nuestra ciudad capital y carecía de un camino que llegue a este histórico lugar. En esta Casa-Oratorio que data del Siglo XVII y de acuerdo a la historia, durante
la Revolución Comunera en 1724, José de Antequera y Castro instaló sus baterías para enfrentar el ejército de indios misioneros de Baltasar García Ros.
- En el año 2002 Nicolás Latourrette Bo se acercó personalmente a la Casa de la Independencia, ofreciendo su ayuda luego de ver el deplorable estado en que se encontraba el Museo. Junto con la Directora del mismo, la Prof. Yany Oliveira y Silva,
esbozaron un plan para recuperar la dignidad del Museo que recibe un caudal apreciable de visitantes, un promedio de 200 a 300 personas por día, algo extraordinario en nuestro país teniendo en cuenta que sus habitantes no tienen por costumbre visitar
museos. Estas personas vienen de diferentes puntos de la capital e interior de nuestra República y recibimos asimismo la visita de los hermanos extranjeros que acuden a la Casa en gran número. Es impresionante ver el entusiasmo de cientos de niños y
jóvenes estudiantes quienes con mucho interés participan de las visitas guiadas, es asimismo este Museo una fuente de consulta para los mismos ya que en la Casa de la Independencia contamos con material que sirven de fuente de información sobre diferente
temática para que nuestros jóvenes estudiantes puedan desarrollar sus trabajos prácticos.
- Altos – Departamento de Paraguari. Tiene proyectado para el año 2004, la restauración del altar y de las imágenes religiosas de la iglesia de esta localidad.
Todo lo mencionado anteriormente constituyen valiosos aportes al patrimonio y la institucionalidad cultural y social de nuestro país. |

Part of the collection of the missions statures was exposed in Paris, Madrid and Asunción.
The complete Collection is visited in Paraguay by Paraguayan and foreign personalities.
Its preoccupation by the conservation of the historical patrimony of Paraguay has been pronounced in several occasions:
- Yaguarón, Department of Paraguarí. In 1990, it economically supported the restoration of the Church of Yaguarón, more important the franciscan baroque temple of the Paraguay, constructed in the decade of year 1750.
- Capiatá, Central Department. In 1997 also supported the restoration of the Church of La Candelaria of Capiatá, that is one of the most splendid temples of the constructed colonial time in Century XVI by the franciscanes with the aid of the
guarani Indians and who in 1992 the national government recognized this temple as one of the Artistic-Cultural Patrimony of the Nation.
- Caapucú, Department of Paraguarí. In the year 2001 thanks to its economic contribution the access route could be constructed to arrive at the Museum House-Oratory Cabañas, Historical Patrimony of the Paraguay and that has been revitalized after
many years of abandonment. The same one is located in the middle of the field of the locality of Caapucú, to 154 km of our capital city and lacked of a way that arrives at this historical place. In this House-Oratory that date from Century XVII and
according to history, during the Comunera Revolution in 1724, Jose de Antequera y Castro it installed his batteries to face the army of Indian missionaries of Balthasar García Ros.
- In year 2002 Nicolás Latourrette Bo personally approached the House of Independence, offering his aid after seeing the deplorable state in that was the Museum. Along with the Director of the same one, Prof. Yany Oliveira y Silva, outlined a plan
to recover the dignity of the Museum that receives an appreciable volume of visitors, an average of 200 to 300 people per day, something extraordinary in our country considering that their inhabitants do not have by custom to visit museums.
These people come from different points from the capital and interior of our Republic and we also received the visit of the foreign brothers who go to the House in great number.
He is impressive to see the enthusiasm of hundreds of children and young people students who with much interest participate in the guided visits, it is also this Museum a source of consultation for such since in the House of Independence we counted on
material that serves as different source of intelligence on thematic so that our young students can develop their practical works.
- Altos - Department of Paraguari. It has projected for the year 2004, the restoration of the altar and all of the religious imagery of the church of this locality (Paraguarí).
All the mentioned one previously constitutes valuable contributions to the patrimony and the cultural and social institucionalidad of our country. |
